Choose Your Path Carefully

Instead of judging people, try to be a little nice.

If you are blessed with things others don’t possess, that doesn’t mean you get to have the upper hand.

Like,

  • If you have more money and you can afford things some people can’t; it doesn’t mean you have the right to gloat about it.

Or

  • If you are blessed with a perfect body as compared to your fellowmen, it doesn’t give you any right to bully someone else for their ‘type of body.

Or

  • If you are at a higher post, and you think it is part of your job to be mean and bossy so you can keep people in line. Well, there is a difference in being authoritative and a jerk. Learn to differentiate.

There are million examples, where people think they are better than their fellowmen but they can’t be any more wrong.

If you are blessed with something, be thankful and stay down to earth. Believe me, that will be gain you more respect than being a tormentor and a jerk.

Choose carefully.

Are You Up for the Challenge?

People are not your personal punching bags. They can be million things but never this. Just because you are hurting, doesn’t mean that you are allowed to scar others or if it is raining upon you, doesn’t give you any right to push others in the puddles as well.

There are people among us, who are bleeding, who are dragging their lives around, who are barely alive but still, somehow they find a way to ease others’ paths. They are quite few, almost near to none, but THEY ARE among us. So, you see, it is possible; being nice to people, even when one is hurting, is not some ‘alien concept’, rather, it is the time when it matters the most.

You wondering why? Well, anyone can be nice and gentle when they are in high spirits but when one’s world is crashing down and they still remember to be kind and gentle, can be quite a challenge.

Are you up for it?

The World of Numbness

Sometimes you feel a little down, not your usual self. Like the gloominess has engulfed you and drained you out of all the energy. Sometimes you feel…nothing. Sometimes you just shut down. That’s when you actually wake up!

When this feeling of numbness comes over you, you drop the acting, you allow your deep and sometimes dark feelings to overwhelm you. Even though you still keep your walls way up high, and your lips sealed, still you allow your mind to wander to places you haven’t visited in a while.

At that time, you enter your ‘self’, the one that you keep hidden or show only to few. All that is also a part of you, all that is also ‘you’.

You can’t just bag a part of you and lock it up forever, it tends to come to the surface from time to time. Don’t try to fight it, I know I have tried, it only depresses you more. Take a break, take a time alone or with your loved ones, however you feel at ease. Or like me, spend some time with a pen and a page. Let it out. Ease yourself. Try to connect with your ‘deep self’, so you can go back to your ‘normal self’ with a peace of mind.
