Happiness is Handmade

“Being creative is not a hobby rather its a way of life.”

I have started with this new project, or whatever you call it. I decided to work on handmade cards and putting them out in the world to see their worth, or something. 😉 Its been a while since I started with them. The response is good, so far. In the beginning, it was pretty slow and I almost gave up but thanks God I did not. I guess I was a little too jumpy and insecure. 😉

I really  cherish the time I spend doing stuff like these. Some people say one should do these things when they have time to waste. But ‘art’ is not a waste. Is it? I don’t think so.

Here is some of my work.

Christmas cards. I personally like the one on the left in double door style. Oh sorry, they are both in double door style :). I mean the one with the white background and with stars and decorations.

I fell in love with these two wedding cards :). They were also adored by other people. Especially the one with full dresses. I tried to capture them form all angle and still was not able to get the enough of them.

Last but not the least, we have some birthday cards.

“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.”

While working on them, I found a lot about myself in the process. One should involve in such activities, they wash away the dust of this crazy world form your soul and open a whole new land for you.

Do let me know about your opinions. That’s all for now. Stay blessed.

Ramadan and Eid

Oh Ramadan start hone wala hai! Tumne Eid ka dress decide kar liye? Meine to apna tailor ko bhe de diya hai…..

This is how  most of our population starts Ramadan, well,  mostly the females. Anyway the point of discussion here is that, why we think of Eid first when we need to prepare for Ramadan first? I think we have forgotten that the Eid is a gift to those people who have been good through out the Ramadan. Meaning they have fulfilled every requirements of Ramadan.

Eid is a time for joy for the Muslims, that comes after the month of Ramadan. But if you have made no changes during Ramadan, if you carry on the same routine, then do you really think you deserve this parcel of joy???

And Eid is not a day to let out your inner devils out. It is no doubt a day of joy for Muslims but you do not have to go all crazy and forget all your values neither the things you have learned in Ramadan. But  sadly, a lot of us do that.

Give it a thought and lets make some changes this time.

Wish all the Muslims out there a blessed Ramadan and a peaceful Eid.

You weren’t there…

When I woke up on this day

I saw the colors

I heard the laughter

Everything was bright and clear

But when I tried to look for you

I couldn’t see you, I couldn’t find you

It made me want to scream

To cry until I made a stream

Why can’t you be here?

Why can’t I be with you?

Why among these thousand faces

I can’t see yours???

It wasn’t the same without you

It wasn’t okay

It wasn’t fine

I wasn’t fine..

I put the smile on my face

It fooled the world

But it didn’t trick me

The world was colorful

But to me it was colorless

Because you weren’t there to cheer me up…
